Speed dating generally involves an equal number of male and female meeting at a specified place and time. To participate in Belmont speed dating you need to be registered. You can register online or join a group and register. once you get to a speed dating event you are given a name tag to identify you. The name on the tags can be your real name or an alias name you were using online. Usually the men are the ones who move around in speed dating. The men and women in a speed dating event ask questions they would like to know about each other. If you meet someone you liked and would like to meet with them again, you write their name on a card. If that person wrote your name on their card too then its a match. You can then organize to meet again for another date.

Speed dating has been said to be a safe way of meeting with people. This is because there are a group of people who do not necessarily know each other who meet in a selected place. This means that if anyone was to try and drug someone, he or she would be taking a risk of being discovered. In online dating one has to extremely careful. To increase your chances of finding a date in speed dating you should take it seriously. The more you take it serious the more the people you talk to will take you seriously. They will think you only came for the event for fun and even if you seriously wanted to meet a potential partner in future, your chances will be minimal. You should make sure you are clean and well groomed. Make sure your hair is neat and your clothes are well pressed. You do not have to look expensive. Otherwise speed dating is a wonderful way of meeting someone you would like to have a long or short term relationship with.

I always thought of myself to date the inner beauty of men. I have dated my fair share of not so attracted men. People always ask me ” What the hell were you thinking” and i always say the same thing. ” He was a nice guy.”

With that said my last dating disaster was a guy named… well let’s leave out his name. He was the most immature, selfish, irresponsible man i have ever met. He was the type of guy who’s life never will change, he will hunt, fish, drink every night. If your waiting for him, then you will be waiting forever. My last true straw is when i saw how irresponsible he was with his own dog, an adorable 2 year old lab who was at home sick. Instead of going home after work to check on her, he just goes out for 5 hours to drink. So i went to his house and checked on the dog myself, a poor dog shouldn’t suffer because he owner is a completely douchabag! But, before i left, i wrote a note to him that said “Do me a favor—lose my #” However, i know he would immediately call me to find out why i would leave such a note, but i turned my phone off….i cant even bare to hear his voice. I always felt like his back up plan and a last resort, but not anymore.
